The HP LaserJet 1022 printer is fully functional, relatively quick when it comes to print speed, and delivers printouts that are high in quality. There’s 8 MB of RAM onboard, but the printer is made to operate as a feeder off of a host computer. This means that it will generally make use of much of the computer’s processing power to do all of its tasks. This should be more than enough to ensure that the 1022 will be able take all of its tasks, put them in order and then deliver printed product with little or no trouble at all. It can handle up to 260 sheets, including 250 sheets in a single auto-load input tray. This is a lot of paper for such a small printer, by the way.
Duty cycle per month with the 1022 comes in at a nice 8000 pages, which is generally more than enough for a printer that actually is intended by Hewlett-Packard to be more of a personal-type laser printer. What monthly duty cycle means is that the printer will be able to handle and print out about 1000 pages of product in a month before it would need minor maintenance or exchange of cartridges.
At present, prices for the HP LaserJet 1022 printer are wide ranging. For example, one can find a refurbished 1022 selling on the Internet for around $190. Other new versions are going for as much as $600. Just keep in mind that a separate USB cable will need to be purchased and all should be okay. When looked at from the question of solid performance, one sees this particular printer being both light in weight and able to perform nicely. Keep in mind toner cartridges will need to be purchased on occasion. HP toner cartridge is found in stores or online. You will need HP LaserJet 1022 toner cartridge because that is the type that is compatible with this printer.
