DS games with the substance: an appeal to adults?

I bought my DS Phat when it came to light and now I'm looking for an upgrade. However, I do not want to spend the cash if there is any game worth playing. I am looking for games that I can sit and enjoy – no stupid minigames or Bejeweling had! And please, no puzzles or moth. In the past I have enjoyed and tolerated Lost in Blue Trace Memory. Pokemon Yellow I loved the old days. Can you think of any game that I might enjoy? Besides, DSi Shop worthwhile games at all? Thanks! And I love the Nancy Drew games on the PC.

By Of course, just go to the pokemon games old school.
